Designing for Shared Values in the Workplace

In a project-based creative workplace, people come and go. How, then, do you establish and sustain shared values over time? The Metronomes OK project invited everyone to contribute sentences beginning with “It’s OK…” to capture what they valued and what defined their workplace.

We then translated these statements into a spatial communication concept, making the values visible — playfully placed in passageways and unexpected corners, never in front of anyone’s workspace.

The result turned the statements into a visual experience, allowing the values to be discovered naturally throughout the building.
